Best Viewing Spots Around the Mach Loop

Here’s a guide to the top spots for catching the jets in action:

  • Cad West Parking & Viewing Spot – Less than 15 minutes from Corris, Cad West is a popular area with excellent valley views. Park responsibly in the layby and enjoy excellent valley views.

  • Cad East – Roughly 10 minutes from Corris, Cad East offers fantastic photography opportunities. Please close the gates behind you to respect local farmers and protect their livestock

  • Bluebell – Just a short drive from Corris, Bluebell is a quieter vantage point perfect for those looking to avoid the crowds while enjoying dramatic views of the jets.

  • The Bwlch – A slightly elevated spot offering panoramic views of the valley and the Mach Loop. Ideal for photography and watching multiple passes.

  • Dolgarrog (approx. 50 mins) – Open views and easy access for photography.

  • Corris / Dinas Mawddwy Area (10–30 mins) – Close vantage points for multiple passes in a short time.

  • Bryncrug & Ganllwyd (approx. 45–60 mins) – Quieter spots for those who like to escape the crowds.

  • Ceunant Llennyrch (approx. 1 hour) – Less well-known with spectacular valley views.
